A resort in Japan is combining a natural hot spring with beer to create a one of a kind "beer bath," according to Delish and US Weekly.
The Misugi Resort, which is about two hours away from Kyoto, is home to the Hinotai Onsen, a luxurious hot spring that the resort combines with Japanese craft beer so that guests can experience a unique beer bath within the spa. The bath, which is the color of a dark lager, contains enzymes from malts that supposedly are good for your skin, alongside live yeast and carbonic acid.
The owner of the resort claimed to Travel + Leisure that the bath offers numerous health benefits, from the antibacterial properties of the hops to the cleansing power of the yeast and CO2's beneficial effects on circulation — and though these aren't yet proven by science, it still sounds like a pretty cool experience. For only $15, you can reserve a 45-minute bath, so if you find yourself in Japan, head to this resort for a relaxing and delicious bath.
