Trader Joe’s is known and adored for their two-buck chuck, but now they’re foraying into the canned wine game with their new product Simpler Wines—just in time for summer. Such a great move.
The cans come in two different colors—er, styles—white and rosé. The wines are both vino fizzante, which is just Italian for sparkling wine. They’re sold in four-packs of 187 mL cans (roughly 6.3 ounces) for the cool price of $3.99.
A blog post on Trader Joe’s site provides a flavor profile: “In Simpler Wines White, notes of juicy honeydew and fresh cut herbs provide sweet sippability, complementing such savory pairings as fresh bread & olives or Parmigiano Reggiano. The elegant, mineral notes and red fruit flavors of Simpler Wines Rosé are a natural fit for fresh pasta, seafood or sweets.”
Sounds like the perfect sneaky beach wine or covert public park picnic wine or just a regular Monday night wine. Even TJ’s knows what’s up, writing, “the floral bouquet and effervescence of these Wines will provide an instant party-like atmosphere upon first sip.” Say no more!
Simpler Wines are rolling out nationwide so grab a pack, or seven (they’re only $3.99!!), for some summertime fun.
