As you may have heard, Brewery Ommegang partnered with HBO to create a series of official Game of Thrones beers. The first, Iron Throne Blond Ale, is in stores now, and is quite tasty. Ommegang has started a weekly contest around the beer, and prizes will be given out each week throughout the GoT season, culminating in a grand prize of a trip to Cooperstown, NY to visit the brewery.
To participate in Seize the Iron Throne, all you need to do is head to the contest page on Facebook and make a recommendation for which character deserves a toast of the “delicate but piercing” beer. Is it Lady Olenna? Tyrion Lannister? Make the call, post your toast, and you could be the randomly selected winner will receive a copy of Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones: The Collector’s Edition.
Keep your eyes peeled for Brewery Ommegang’s second Game of Thrones beer, due out later this year.
